| Barbeque Chicken Burgers |
Ingredients

250 grams Boneless chicken breast (grilled)
2.
1 bowl cabbage, carrot and onion (julienne)
3.
1 tablespoon jalapenos (chopped) optional
4.
1 tablespoon gherkins (chopped) optional
5.
3 tablespoons barbeque sauce
6.
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
7.
1 teaspoon honey
8.
1 tablespoon oil
9.
6 burger buns

Cooking instruction
Chicken – cut the chicken breast in half by holding the
knife parallel to the chopping board, this way you will have two evenly cut
pieces of chicken breast. Flatten the chicken breast and marinate with salt and
pepper.
Stem the chicken for 8-10 minutes in a steamer after that place the steamed chicken in a covered bowl. This way the chicken remains
moist and juicy.
In a non-stick pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the oil is
hot place the chicken and cook on each side for a few minutes. Remove from the pan
and cut into one inch stripes.
Add the barbeque sauce, honey, salt and pepper to the chicken
and keep aside.
Salad – combine cabbage, carrot, onion, jalapenos, gherkins
and mayonnaise and keep aside.
Assembly – cut the burger buns in half, add the salad and a
good portion a barbeque chicken. You can add cheese and grill the burgers in some butter (optional).
Or simple enjoy the burger in its original form.
