Paneer tikka masala


Ingredients


1. 250 grams paneer
2. 1 large tomato
3. 2 large onions
4. 1 green capsicum
5. 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
6. 1/2 cup curds
7. 1 tablespoon garam masala
8. 1 tablespoon kashmiri mirch powder(for colour)
9. 1 teaspoon tumeric powder
10. 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
11. 1 tablespoon kasuri methi
12. 2 tablespoons cream
13. Oil
14. Salt

Cooking instructions-

Cut paneer in tikka style cubes, marinate with 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon curds and salt.

Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

In a kadhai heat 1 tablespoon oil, once hot add roughly chopped onions and saute for 4-5 minutes. Then add roughly chopped tomatoes and saute for another 5-7 minutes. Along with some salt.

Once the onions and tomato soft, take them off the heat and let the onions and tomatoes cool completely.

Blend the onions and tomatoes in a mixer to form a smooth paste.

In a pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Grill the marinated paneer on both sides. In the same pan grill the capsicum.

For the gravy-

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a kadhai to this add ginger garlic psate and the onion tomato puree and saute till the oil starts seperating from the paste.

Then add the remaining curds and saute for 3-4 minutes.

Add tumeric, garam masala, red chilli poeder, Kashmiri chilli powder and salt.

Saute well. Add water if needed.

Then add the grilled paneer and capsicum. Stir well.

Add cream and cook for 5-6 minutes.

Finally add kasuri methi and a sprinkle of garam masala.

Serve with paratha or rice.
