Apple Crumble


Five ingredient recipe 
(Salt, pepper and oil are free ingredients)


Apple Crumble

Ingredients- 

1. 4 medium sized apples 
2. 1/2 cup flour (maida)
3. 1/2 cup cold butter cut in cubes
4. 3 tablespoons sugar 
5. 2 cinnamon sticks 

Cooking method

Pre heat the over to 200 degree Celsius.

Remove the apple core.

Cut the apples in one inch cubes. Peeling the apples is optional. Personally I’ll leave the skin on the apples for texture. 

In a hot pan add one teaspoon of butter, to the melted butter add the cut apples along with the sugar and cinnamon sticks. 

Let the apples cook for 8-10 minutes or till they are 80% soft.

Meanwhile in a bowl add 1/2 cup of flour and cubes of cold butter.

Use your finger tips to gently crumble the butter into the flour. 

In a baking dish preferably a deep dish, add the cooked apple mixture remove the cinnamon sticks at this stage. 

Evenly spread the flour and butter mix on the apples and bake for 15-20 minutes or till the crumble is golden brown. 

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
